We are transported into Judys world of childhood abuse, as she shares with us the horrific moments, in real time, as they are happening. How can a little girl endure so much, and NOT come out broken? This journey is unique, because at the end of each chapter, we witness the healing of the inner child and a spiritual quest to understand why she must endure. The adult, Judy, coaches first the little girl, then the young teenager out of her inner prison, and gently guides her to learn to trust, to play, to feel, and to love again! The adult, Judy, then has a conversation with her spiritual mentor, Gabby, to gain an understanding of the unseen realm and why, as humans, we experience this type of pain and terror. As the story evolves, we witness Judys journey into prostitution and drugs. Our heart aches for her, as many never make it out alive or even unscathed. We experience her soul being ripped apart, yet she is, once again, able to heal the inner teen. We witness the adult, Judy, seeking answers to age-old questions: Why are some children born into abuse and/or abject poverty and others born into love and/or wealth? What happens when we die? What are the universal principles that govern all beings? What exists in the unseen realm and how does it affect us?, etc. As the story moves fully into adulthood, we share in Judys birth of her only child, and her journey of love and loss, when her husband gets diagnosed with Cancer. We get a glimpse of the Astral World, as Judy and many of her friends experience paranormal events around her husbands passing. Judy provides a unique insight into pain and suffering. This cracks the seam of normal human experience, and moves us into a realm of infinitesimal spiritual connections.We get a sense that perhaps it is due to this most painful journey, that Judy is moved to seek out and find answers to these spiritual mysteries and, through this, is able to heal her spirit to achieve a soul awakening!
