About the author:Rita Beach has been a working musician, singer, and songwriter all of her adult life. During her years of teaching, after completing a B.S. and M.S. Degree in Education, she was always working as a singer in local music clubs several nights a week. After a few years of teaching, her love of singing won out, and she began a career in music full-time. She performed in the national, regional, and local arenas in a variety of venues—clubs, festivals, fairs, and community events. This gave Rita the experience she needed to cross the entire spectrum of music. Four Beats to Every Measure is the result of her desire to capture the lessons learned about life through her music. This is not just one person’s story, but the stories of others who touched her life and influenced Rita and her music legacy.
