Sha’Starra is a lifelong native of Palatka, FL., which is nestled along the beautiful St. Johns River. She is a 2017 graduate of Palatka High School.During high school, Sha’Starra was a star basketball player. Despite playing with blurred vision, she was determined to excel on and off the court. She became part of the Health Allied class her junior and senior year in which she began training to become a physical therapist. After being diagnosed with a rare vision-impairing condition in 2015, she began a journey to educate herself as well as her support team about the degenerative condition, and she knew ordinary faith would not suffice. She needed bold faith to pull herself through. While Sha’Starra continues her journey of healing, she is working to educate adults as well as other teens who may be dealing with the same or a similar condition. In addition, she desires to use her experience(s) to build her platform to become a spokesperson for Keratoconus. Follow her journey of faith, hope and healing on Facebook and Instagram.
