Since I can remember, I have always been asked, What does it take to keep my skin look so healthy and young? I want to answer this question once and for all. Not only my past clients ask this but also my family, friends, and acquaintances who are curious about my skincare routine. I usually tell them that what you do will have a drastic effect on how their skin looks. Yes, it really does matter how you treat your skin. Not only is it your largest organ, but it also needs as much (or perhaps more) attention as anything else in your body. Proper skincare doesnt have as much to do with skin color, genetics, and exposure to the sun as you might think. After so many years of living my mantra of good skincare, I thought it was time to put pen to paper and share my experiences - both good and bad - about what daily routines and simple lifestyle changes can do for your skin. I hope this journey is as enjoyable for you as it is for me to share. viii In this book, we will explore some basic concepts that cover healthy skin. These concepts will build upon each other, including skincare regimen for morning and night, using skincare products correctly with high-quality ingredients, protecting your skin from the sun, eating healthy and drinking plenty of water, avoiding alcohol and smoking or being around others who smoke, exercising at least three times per week, and so much more. We will draw upon each one of these concepts individually for you to understand their impact on your skin. Remember, everything I just mentioned matters, as healthy skin does not happen overnight, and it also doesnt happen with any miraculous cure (at least none that we know of). I love taking care of my skin and I think it shows that. So, come join me on this journey, so I can share with you all my secrets to younger and healthier skin.
