Amy starts this journey in what could be call the first part My Interview With a Fairy where she becomes a near fairy, and first meets a Rubump. But each book can be read as a stand alone. This time Amy is visiting her grandparents and gets the chance to learn more about Rubumps. Jerald (Amys new Rubump friend) have a lot of adventures and share their inventions with the readers. Jerald is the sort of a scientist/invertor for his village but isnt allowed to live in the village. The adventures start just after he takes Amy into his realm and he needs to make her large again. Somehow things in his realm really get mixed up and it takes them a while to figure out why. Learning real magic takes time and sometimes it can get a little strange..
