It's graduation day, and Morgan Burns is optimistic about joining the workforce as a writer. Her long-term boyfriend surprises her with a fairytale proposal, and she seems to have everything going for her as she plans her dream wedding. She finds out the hard way, however, that the writing industry is not as easy to break into as she previously thought. She soon finds herself struggling to find inspiration and finances when, as if by fate, an exciting opportunity to do some investigation journalism into the life of exotic dancing presents itself. This opportunity ends up being too good to be true when Morgan realizes she faces a murder charge, but the police investigation and Morgan's legal troubles are the least of her problems. A group of dangerous men, more intimidating than the police, coerce her to work for them as a hitwoman. Encompassed in a dark world of guns and criminals, Morgan struggles to learn the trade and reconcile her values with committing murder for hire. When her attempts at assassination go awry, Morgan decides that no story is worth it. But before she can get out, she is faced with solving the mystery of what happened to her fiance while hunting down those that have wronged her. Follow Morgan through her fall into a criminal enterprise in this psychological thriller.
