Niqqie is a woman who became an addict to drug and sex. She attempted to start her life over again. She has met many obstacle. Her father proposes marriage to her mother. Her mother decides not to marry because it would mean the loss of her independance. Her sobriety is threatened when Her White sister Tara, decide to start smiking marijuana and offers it to her. She is unabel to take her son Kashi, out of forster care mainly because she does not have a job and is not in her own apartment. Niqqie finds that her drug addiction is connected to her sex addiction. She continues in sobriety.
