Based on a true story, this epic journey of self-discovery that begins in 1959 and details a young boys experience in juvenile incarceration, followed by the Vietnam War and entrepreneurship. The Middle Ground is a modern-day Odyssey that is sure to inspire Millennials to turn ambition into action.  The events that unfold in this epic journey is revealed in the different relationships of those that befriended the main character in both postive and negative ways as he struggled to come to terms with his own existence. The deep and very loyal relationship forged with his mother, who had been fighting with her illness of cancer for several years kept her away from the home and left the father who was overwhelmed with the duties of caring for three young girls and three boys, while working full time to provide for the family.  The absent of the mother's involvement left a void with the youngest children.  They were unsupervised and in the case of the youngest son, Jimmy, he became angry, defiant and rebelious to any authority figure. This behavior ultimately put him on the path of reckless criminal activity that led to his incarceration in the Boys Reform School in Milledgeville, Georgia.  The events that take place while incarcerated forces him to question his motives and brings him to term with reality.  While incarcerated, an unlikely friendship and trust with an old man in charge of a utility crew took an interest in him and this relationship begins to give him insight into his purpose in life as well as his spiritual being.
