Say, after our prayer time, lets stroll over to where I used to work, the Cedar Creek Clinic, and visit my old friends?The early pioneers had settled in Cedar Creek around 1884 and built a country church. In 2012 the church was converted into the clinic that Helen worked at as office manager. The local historian affirmed the early settlers brought the old relic picnic table with them from New England. During Cedar Creeks 100-year celebration in 1984, the historical society commemorated the table with a placard. Lets do it! shouts Irving.Irving was the star athlete in college, but his budding football career came to an end when he busted his knee. Helen, the former office manager at the clinic, was known as a holy-roller. She always talked about Jesus and conducted a Bible study for the ladies after work. Helen and Irving had the most beautiful wedding at the grove last summer.Helen and Irv arrive early Friday afternoon. The suns rays are glittering down on the grassy dew, and with the surrounding majestic tall trees, the grove looks and feels like a cathedral.
