Neither she nor Zirc are aware of the sinister plot of the High Master and the Governing Council until it unfolds. Long after the mineral resources of Mauweega are exploited, and the species enslaved, Zirc's repressed feelings resurface after the death of his friend Fritz causing him to reflect on his true feelings about Azure and how to bring about justice for her.
