Spitznagel and analyzes the characteristics of the diagnostic situation DS, a special form of setting. After Goffman (1964), a social situation in general arises whenever two or more individuals find themselves in one anothers immediate presence, and it lasts until the next-to-last person leaves. - The topic is widely discussed in anglo-american publications, of which a survey is presented. Spitznagel und thematisiert die Charakteristika des situativen Sonderfalls Diagnostische Situation DS vor dem Hintergrund der vornehmlich anglo-amerikanischen Literatur. Demzufolge ist Situation derjenige Teil der Ökologie, den ein Individuum wahrnehmen und auf den es unmittelbar reagieren kann.
