The subject matter—college sports corruption—is now being debated daily, and this book led Shields to collaborate recently with Rick Telander, author of The Hundred Yard Lie, on a screenplay that imagines a work-strike by two college basketball teams in the championship game. The film, co-produced by Carmelo Anthony, is being developed by Mandalay Sports Media and Netflix.
