After a successful period as an actress in repertory, in BBC radio drama, and with parts in television, in film and West End theatre (where she worked with such well-known actors as Peter OToole, Nigel Hawthorne, Donald Sutherland and Sean Connery), the course of her life was suddenly changed by personal tragedies. She was forced to explore other forms of livelihood in order to support her young daughter.
