    For Rosmini theosophy is a philosophical science consisting of thethree disciplines of ontology, natural theology and cosmology. Thestudy of ontology is a philosophical discipline which must, by definition,include all being and therefore supreme Being, but Rosmini’stheosophy is far removed from any philosophical and quasi-religioussystem seeking direct experience or intuition of God. Theterm ‘theosophy’ (meaning wisdom concerning God and divinethings) was used in a philosophical sense long before the late 19thcentury when ‘theosophical’ societies and movements werefounded.
